No-Show Protection & Deposit Policies
No-shows cost Australian hospitality venues an estimated $75 million every year. TableStruck provides automated card holds and deposit rules so your tables are never left vacant without compensation.
Eliminating the No-Show Epidemic
A guest who reserves a 6-top on Saturday evening and fails to show up costs your venue food preparation and hundreds of dollars in lost table turnover. TableStruck allows you to set clear, fair deposit requirements that diners agree to during booking.
Configuring Deposit Rules
In Settings -> Booking Policy, you can configure:
• Fixed Deposit Per Guest: e.g. $20 / person for parties of 5 or more.
• Peak Shift Enforcement: Require deposits only during specific trading shifts (e.g. Friday and Saturday dinner).
• Cancellation Window: e.g. Guests can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours prior to service.
• Automatic Refund Policy: Bookings cancelled outside the penalty window are refunded automatically by Stripe.
Charging vs Releasing Deposits
When guests arrive and are seated, their deposit is either deducted from their final restaurant bill or released back to their credit card, per your chosen policy.
